The Waterpoint® vision
Waterpoint® is a contemporary classic design that presents a dignified and timeless image. Elegant terraces with pergolas on upper levels provide a clear visual break with the skyline. Planters along the terraces give a soft, ‘green-edge’ to the apartments and outward views are gently framed through trees and buildings. The order and symmetry of the classic building design is reflected in the formal landscape treatments for the extensive garden areas.
Other Scott Carver projects:
Bridgeport Sydney, CBD
Scott Carver designed this conversion of a 60’s office building into a 168 apartment development, located adjacent to historic Macquarie Place in Sydney. Internal layouts are orientated to harbour views and the new upper level floors blend sympathetically with the existing heritage-listed façade.
Kensington Gardens, Double Bay
Ten apartments have been accommodated within two complimentary three-storey high blocks, expressing a theme reminiscent of the Mediterranean “Stripped Classical” style villas. Stepping the façade in corners, as well as incorporating cornice lines to identify the levels, breaks down the visual mass of each building.
Miller Street, Pyrmont
This key gateway site on the western side of the Pyrmont Peninsula was designed to provide for 250 units. The scheme successfully creates a well-scaled and proportioned residential block, complying with the urban design principles established for Pyrmont.
Olympic projects
Scott Carver completed 18 projects for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games – including the Sydney International Aquatic Centre, Sydney International Equestrian Centre and Sydney Indoor Sports Centre. The expertise applied during this period has now extended into an ongoing range of sports facilities. Current projects include stadiums, master planning, and event overlay design.
